Information Technology Summer Intern
Vertical Horizon Networks is looking for self-motivated high school students with an interest in Information Technology careers. The Summer Internship will provide experience and on the job learning in various areas of Information Technology from K-12 environments to rural Internet Service Provider procedures and processes.

Vertical Horizon Networks is an assumed business name for The Laffoon Corporation. We are a technology solutions provider that offers various technology solutions to different industries throughout the midwest. We have been in business since 2013 and have worked with our partner company, Laffoon & Associates LLC since the inception of our business. Laffoon & Associates has been providing K-12 technology services since 2008.
Job Role & Duties:
The role of an IT Summer Intern will be a part-time summer employment position.
- Desktop Support for windows 10/iOS Devices/Chromebooks
- Make sure each device(Desktop,Phones,Printers, etc) are tagged with NNSC Asset tags
- Documenting Network and Telecom cabinets and Patch Panels
- Organize IT Equipment in various locations
- Inventory 1:1 devices for storage over the summer
- Install Broadband Internet Service utilizing Wireless or Fiber Internet Solutions
- Assist with building Fiber Optic cabling systems
The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience:
- Interest in a Information Technology career
- Experience using Chromebooks and iPads
- Good Work Ethic and Responsibility
